Last week on the American Idol 2012 elimination results show, the voters unexpectedly sent home former favorite Colton Dixon, leaving him, the judges and his fans in shock. The week before that, virtually no one predicted Jessica Sanchez or Joshua Ledet would end up in the bottom two, and it was a total shock when heavy favorite for the finals Jessica Sanchez had to be saved from being eliminated by the judges.
Meanwhile, singers who have been predicted to be voted off American Idol 2012 repeatedly, including Elise Testone, Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine continue to truck along with the support of their fan bases. So, pretty much, no one seems to be safe at this point on American Idol season 11. Everyone absolutely had to bring their A game this week to the American Idol 2012 stage. First on tap for the night is a video montage paying tribute to late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Original Queen band members Roger Taylor and Brian May hook up with the American Idol 2012 top 6 to give them advice and help with their songs chosen for the evening.
The remaining American Idol 2012 top 6 contestants take the stage with Roger Taylor and Brian May to perform a medley of Queen rock anthems, including “Another One Bites The Dust,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.”
